Exhibition John Lennon at Jules & Jeremy, Oudegracht 259 Utrecht.
Though John Lennon is known throughout the world for the music that shaped a generation and a way of life for millions in the 1960s and 1970s, few know that his first passion was his
artwork - and that it was for this that he most wished to achieve recognition. Before his death, Lennon told his wife, Yoko, that there were two things he hoped to accomplish in his
lifetime: to record another album, and to be recognized as a visual artist. The first dream was fulfilled with the recording with Yoko of “Double Fantasy”; but his life was cut short before he had a chance to achieve the second.
After Lennon’s death, Yoko Ono set out to fulfill her late husband’s dream by publishing selected drawings from his sketchbooks. These works are deeply personal images of his life,
his family, his experiences. They form an intimate visual diary of John’s thoughts and feelings during the last years of his life. A number of the works have been colored by Yoko, making them among the couple’s many collaborative projects. For Ono, they represent “a silent promise to share John’s love for art with the rest of the world.”
Rosewood. We produce our design furniture with planted wood that is durable. We use rosewood and teakwood. Rosewood is shown on this picture and is a very durable hard wood. We use high quality wax-oil for protection and to bring out the natural look and feel of the wood.
Teakwood. Here you can see out design furniture in young teak. This teak is planted wood and has a very intersting drawing.
New. Starting spring 2010 we also produce our furniture in wallnut, oak and cherry wood.

Jules & Jeremy Art and Design - Dutch designers.
We, Jules & Jeremy, are Dutch furniture designers who create our own designs. Our aim is to find a balanced combination of simplicity and functionality. We like to play with contrast, structure and art.
Design furniture can be seen as art and also be placed like a piece of art in the interior. Art and design play a major role in the interior and should complement each other. This is why we have art exhibitions in the showroom. The combination of art and design is a wonderful combination and is inspiring.
Before we set up this business we had known each other for over thirty years and we have been working on furniture designs for over ten years. Our showroom / gallery is located in the Utrecht Museum Quarter, on the Oudegracht 259 (between Tivoli and 't Oude Pothuys). Feel free to visit our showroom and see our designs and art with your own eyes.
